I love Mustard Season in the Napa Valley for its explosion of color on the valley floor!   The contrast created by the teeming fields of yellow flowers, the vastness of the blue sky, and the gnarly black of the dormant vines is evocative of Napa this time of year -- I could gaze upon it forever.   This image was captured on an afternoon walk along the Oakville Cross Road en route to the Oakville Grocery -- in the vineyard just south of the Cross Road and across the street from the Opus One Winery.
