Statement

I have lived in the Napa Valley on and off for a good portion of my life and have enjoyed all 4 seasons.  One of my  favorite times of the year is as the winter Solstice approaches.  The hills have turn green after the long dry summer. The Vineyards are now brown and dormant.  But then the mustard makes it's appearance known with a lush green and yellow carpet in the vineyards. Not only does it replace much needed nutrients and help to prevent erosion, but it is absolutely beautiful to the eye (and the lens). On a chilly morning the skies are clear and the hot air balloons float quietly down the valley.  So while the next crop of grapes will start to form after bud break, the vintners are busy preparing to release their past vintages of wine that they've work so carefully on.  All this is happening while up and down the valley the views are stunning.
